The Chi Alpha Annual Crayfish Boil
went down on May 2, 2009. It was a day filled with Crayfish, music, BMX,
skating and dancing. We rolled down from the ATX in a 5 member group. Clint
Majors was the Road Master for this trip and drove the crew the whole
distance. 5 hours there and 5 hours back. We rode in the BMX Freestyler Van
and shared in good times for the entire day. At this event we met up with
ATX Family Member Jim Mckay and members from our extended family in
Houston.TX. There were about 100 people gathered for this occasion. Some
people showed up for the food other for the
entertainment of music extreme stunts being preformed
by everyone. Terry Adams, Mickey Gadios and Jowee Thompson (SOUTHRIDERS)
showed up and tore it up all day long. Terry and I were talking about his
Crackpacker
Jump that I filmed in Austin a few weeks back and if he had any cool
feed back from that video. He said he has had many messages about it and he
was looking around for something different he could try out here. He
eventually found that special line that he made look effortless. Jump on the
box and throw a Whooper off of it. It was pretty cool to watch the process.
After he got the first on it became much easier to pull.
George from Global-Flat showed
up as a total surprise. He was snapping photos and shooting video and most
importantly he was busting out Decades and Smith Decades. He has skills
behind and in front of the camera. I had the opportunity to hang out with
George while we were there and the first time we had to session together. We
took the time to share knowledge of tricks and different ways to trying
things. I am looking forward to seeing George busting out Karls and
Hitchhikers in the future.
Special Thanks to Kevin, Amahl
for helping organize this event. It was a amazing day with friends. Be sure
to keep checking back for video.
Photos are right here for your enjoyment.
